Betty and Bob met on February 16th, 1992 - almost 17 years ago - brought together when Bob was transferred to Saint Louis on the final assignment of his Army career. Their common passion was cars, as evidenced by their wedding in 1995, with 32 Miatas in attendance!

Through the years to come, they spent most of their free time going to events and were both VERY involved with both the Miata (They each owned one and still do today!) and Z Car (They also each owned one as well) clubs. After their move to California in 1998, Bob went on to become the Webmaster and Clubs & Events Editor for Miata Magazine.

This was all to change shortly after Betty's retirement in November 2000. Beginning in the summer of 2001, the majority of her energies went to working with wild Mustangs at Kickin’ Back Ranch, located about 6 miles from their old house in California, and owned by Willis & Sharon Lamm. In May of 2003, she came home and told Bob the Lamms were ready to “take a break from boarding” now that Willis had retired as a Captain from a local Fire District in the Oakland Hills area of San Francisco's East Bay. They were ready to enjoy their own "animal family" (They've owned an assortment of horses and other farm critters for over 20 years).

At this point, Bob asked if she wanted to join them in Nevada. He knew well that this was now her life - it's become more than just working with a wild horse - she became so involved she served as the Secretary of their nationwide network of wild animal gentling mentors, LRTC - they even sponsored the 2006 LRTC Wild Horse Workshop! Although she didn’t respond immediately (that's Betty – think first then speak – opposites attract), Bob knew she did. Before their move to Nevada, in May 2003, they went on an Anniversary adventure to the Giant Artichoke!

Willis and Sharon purchased a ranch just off in Stagecoach, NV, 25 miles east of the capital, Carson City, and B&B bought a place just up the street (See bottom of this page), formerly the home of 10 camels and assorted other critters - they call it 'Camelot'!

It's been over 5 years since they made the move and on a daily basis life seems to present yet another adventure. Living in the high desert at 4,319 feet provides a backdrop that isn't normally experienced to those living in the city or suburbs... Bob's been diverted lately with his side business - for more info, click here. Here are some samples of his digital photography services he offers. He got a run for his money in late 2004, since Betty is the one who is published!! ;-)

They want you to know they're very blessed to have what they have, but most of all they're lucky to have each other!
